How We Started
In 1999, the consultancy founder, Stewart Paton identified the need for a wholly independent Road Safety Audit (RSA) service to meet the requirements of the Design Manual for Road and Bridges (DMRB).
In 2002 that consultancy became an incorporated limited company that has been providing clients with a Road Safety Audit service for over twenty years.
In addition to Road Safety Audits, the consultancy has also undertaken various road safety reviews and other road safety-related projects, mostly in Scotland but also for various sites across the United Kingdom.
As well as Road Safety Audits, the consultancy provides an Expert Witness service in relation to Personal Injury Claims resulting from road defects and trips and slips.
Our Current Management
Since Stewart Paton’s retiral in 2013, the consultancy has been run by Managing Director, Kevin McMahon.
Kevin has more than 40 years of experience in roads and transportation working in both the public and private sector with Lothian Regional Council, The City of Edinburgh Council, Balfour Beatty and Colin Buchanan and Partners. He has been specialising in Road Safety since 1990.
Kevin has been recognised as an Expert Witness since 2013.
